Bio

Roxann Ferguson is a soprano vocalist and voiceover artist based out of Chicago, IL, who performs both on stage and behind the microphone.

She combines her extensive classical training and love of storytelling into a unique and passionate approach to voice acting, opera, operetta, musicals, and concerts. She holds a master’s degree in musical theatre/opera performance and a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance, with additional improv training and performing experience at The Second City. Roxann also holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology and received a Monticello Archaeological Scholarship from the Thomas Jefferson Foundation.

Roxann has performed internationally and with several Midwest companies including Belle Ensemble, Sinfonietta Bel Canto, Folks Operetta, The Second City, North Shore Opera Hour, and Music by the Lake. Recent opera roles include Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, Inès in Les Bavards, and Arminda in Die Gärtnerin aus Liebe. Concert performances include repertoire from musical theatre, opera, Disney, oratorio, and holiday classics. Roxann has received awards from the SBC Voice Competition, Orpheus National Vocal Competition, and the Bel Canto Italian Opera Contest. Roxann can be heard as Trude on the Naxos recording of Paul Abrahám’s operetta Ball at the Savoy.

In addition to performing, Roxann has training in Suzuki Early Childhood Education and maintains a private voice studio. Her students have gone on to major in music at schools such as New York University, Northwestern University, Belmont University, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Western Michigan University.

Whether it’s recording commercial voiceover work, performing in front of live audiences, or teaching one-on-one voice lessons, Roxann loves collaborating with creative professionals and bringing thoughtful vision and enthusiasm to every project.
